1.Consultation (required)
We will meet in your space for up to two hours. This will allow us to get to know one another and will allow me to see your space. We will discuss the design process and set expectations.
2. Review contract
Every project will require a signed contract and a deposit. For design work, there is a deposit required based on the scope of the work. For cabinet painting, there is a 60% up front deposit.
3. Questionnaire and budget worksheet
You (and any other decision makers) will complete an in depth project questionnaire and budget worksheet so that we begin your project on the same page. This allows me to design for you in a way that fits your vision and will have you living the finished product.
4. Trade Day ( if necessary)
I will schedule all necessary trades people like painters, flooring installers, electricians, etc. to visit your home on the same day to assess and quote the work that needs to be done. We politely ask that you not be at home during this process.
5. Design work
I will embark upon your project! I’ll source all of the pieces, finishes, colors, etc that will be required to transform your dream into reality!
6. Presentation
We will meet to review the project as a whole. At this time, you’ll see samples of flooring, fabric, wall coverings, art, finishes, etc. We will discuss the project budget and timeline. I permit revisions on design concepts but please understand that these revisions count as billable hours.
7. Orders and Scheduling
At this point, we will work on placing orders for all the items in the presentation. We will also begin scheduling any trade work that needs to be completed. All orders will be approved and paid for prior to purchase. Most custom orders are non refundable. Custom orders typically take 6-8 weeks. This will also be the point where you’ll make your next round of payments to allow us to order and schedule.
8. Trade work
If applicable, the necessary tradespeople will begin work on the projects necessary.
9. Installation- the big day!
We again ask you to be out of the house on this day. We will work on completing your space by getting all finishing touches completed, all curtains and art hung, all furniture and furnishings arranged.
10. Review for deficiencies
We want everything to be perfect. But we are also realistic. We will review your project with you and remedy any deficiencies. This will be billed at the standard hourly rate.
11. Final payments
Due upon final invoice.
