Welcome to the

Cabinet Painting Crash Course

This may be the ONE moment in time when you’re able to devote yourself fully to painting your cabinets the RIGHT way.

This is such a unique moment in time. We’re all dealing with being at home indefinitely in different ways. I’m choosing to focus on the positive. To slow down, spend time with the ones I love, and complete home projects that have been on the back burner because of work, kids, LIFE.

I have worked with so many clients just like you. Your kitchen, the space where you spend so much of your time, is dated.
You have Pinterest boards FULL of your dream kitchen. So. Many. Pinterest. Boards. You know that one of the most affordable ways to make a HUGE change is to paint your cabinets. Buuuuuut, you’re scared. It feels like it should be simple, but it’s also a very daunting undertaking. So you never get started. Or, your spouse told you they’d tackle this project nine months ago and……..you’re still waiting. Can you relate?

What if it didn’t have to feel so overwhelming? What if an expert gave you a step by step process to follow? What if you had personalized guidance on the perfect color for your cabinets based on the existing finishes in your home? What if you knew exactly which tools and materials to use? What if you had someone to coach you through it, and a community to cheer you on?!

You have found your coach. You have found your tribe!

Casey transformed our kitchen by painting our cabinets. We were blown away by our new look! She truly has a great eye for design and will certainly be a trusted voice for us on future projects.

Casey-Eves-interior-designer-cabinet-painter.png

My name is Casey Eves, and I am the Principal Designer and Managing Director/Owner at Casey Eves Design. Since I launched my business in 2017, I’ve been 100% booked with clients eager to have me redesign their kitchens and paint their cabinets. I’m a full-time working mama of two and wife and I love every minute of my work and life.

My company is an award winning, full-service interior design firm in Charlottesville, Virginia. My team and I excel at a design/build approach to kitchen renovations for clients by working within the existing footprint of the kitchen. When the existing cabinets are in good repair, we are able to save the cabinets and PAINT THEM!

I have been painting cabinets for over a decade and have served dozens of clients. I have perfected my process based on experience and client feedback. I have painted every type of cabinet from oak to laminate.

Painting cabinets is WAY more economical than replacing your cabinets. This is especially true if you’re keeping finishes like your existing countertops.

To replace the cabinets in an average sized kitchen can run anywhere from $7,000-$35,000. The average client pays me $3,500 to repaint their cabinets.

However, as much as I’d love to, I can’t paint ALL of the cabinets in the world. I’m bound by geography and that pesky thing called time.

That’s where the idea for this course came about. I consistently get way more inquiries from potential clients than I can handle. I feel awful telling homeowners that I can’t help them. So, could I teach them to do it themselves? YES! I am so excited to take you on an exciting journey that will give you the confidence you need to undertake this project and begin transforming your kitchen!

I know you’re curious about the details and I’m excited to share them with you.

Here’s what I can promise you:

  1. You will get COMMUNITY! This course will feature a private Facebook community where I’ll host regular sessions and deliver the content. You’ll also get to interact with the others going through the course. We want to see your before and afters, and share in your success!

  2. You will get SUPPORT! I will personally be with you throughout the entire length of the course and will be hosting a 1-hour Live coaching session with each module to help you along.

  3. You’ll get a STEP BY STEP SYSTEM! I consider myself to be an expert at painting cabinets. I’m pretty sure my clients would agree as evidenced by my 5-star Google rating and the several community “Best Of” awards I’ve won. I have a step by system that I am going to teach you that will take any guess work out of this project. Here’s what I’ll share:

    1. How to organize your project

    2. How to set the timeline for your project

    3. How to set up your space

    4. What tools to use

    5. What primer and paint to use

    6. Methods of application

    7. FAQs and trouble shooting

Listen, I’ll be the first one to admit that you could probably teach yourself to do this, on your own time. (Seriously though, who has time??) There are blogs, there are YouTube videos.

But I’ve done my research and I have not found anything out there that organizes all of the best practices into one place AND offers you the support and coaching that I am offering.

What I have found is a lot of confusing, often conflicting, information about what the best practices even are. Much of what I’ve found doesn’t jive with what I’ve learned based on my experience. I’ve found promises to make this project quick, easy, painless, etc. I’m here to tell you that I’m not offering you shortcuts. I’m here to teach you how to paint cabinets in the same exact manner that I do it. That is to say, you will finish this project with professionally painted cabinets that will stand the test of time. You will have the foundation of a remodeled kitchen that doesn’t feel like a bad DIY project that needs to be redone by a professional in a year.

Casey recently repainted our kitchen cabinets, and we could not be more happy with the final product!! She was extremely professional, reliable, and very pleasant to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable in the products and process she used, and was able to walk us through choosing the perfect color for our cabinets.

My friend, you can do this. I’ve got you.

As I shared earlier, cabinets are expensive. And honestly, working with a designer isn’t cheap either. My hourly rate is $120. Clients typically pay me several thousand dollars to design and manage their kitchen remodel (above and beyond painting their cabinets).

But you’ll have the benefit of working with me one on one for far less than that over the course of this experience. And I’m 100% confident that if you follow along, put in the work, and participate, you’ll finish with a brand-new set of cabinets that will either coordinate MUCH better with your existing finishes OR will lay the foundation for future upgrades like new countertops, backsplash and more.

Here’s the value you’re getting:

  • Cost to professionally paint your cabinets: $3,500 (on average)

  • Project Planning & Design (three hours of course content, plus the opportunity to engage in FB community for eight 1-hour FB lives with Casey) x $120 hourly rate = $960

  • Value of bonuses: $99

  • One on One consultations included with VIP experience: $120

Total Value: $4,679!

I’m so excited to present you with the opportunity to learn to paint your cabinets at a rate FAR below what you’d pay me to do it for you. Plus, you’ll finish this course having learned an awesome new skill that you can use to complete this project in other places in your house, for your friends and family, or start your own cabinet painting biz.

I fully expect that you may have questions.

Here are answers to the most common FAQs:

How is this course delivered? What is the structure? +

Once you pay for the course, you’ll receive an invite to join the private Facebook community. The group is structured for an online course and the individual modules will be delivered there. All course materials will be available in the group but will also be emailed to you as well. The first module will be released on April 15th, and we will release a new module every 3-4 days. At the release of every module, Casey will be doing an hour-long Facebook live to interact with the group, answer questions, and cheer you on! You’ll also have ample opportunity to comment on posts, interact with other course participants and share your successes. Once the course is completed, the group will be archived and you will continue to have access to the materials.

Will I need to purchase supplies? +

Yes. This is a home improvement project and like any project, you will need the tools and materials to complete it well. This course will tell you exactly what to buy though, so you won’t be wasting money on multiple failed attempts at figuring out the best options. Everyone will likely come into this course with a different supply of tools/materials on hand but the average person can expect to spend an additional $500-$600 on tools and materials (inclusive of paint). Keep in mind that the approach in this course is to do this RIGHT. I’m not trying to give you cheap DIY shortcuts here. I do this professionally and I’m teaching YOU to do this how I do this. I want you to finish this project with new cabinets that look like they were painted by a professional (YOU!)

Can’t I learn to do this on my own? +

Maybe? Probably? I’ll tell you that I’ve been painting cabinets for over a decade and I’m creating the course that I wish had been available when I started. I’ve read blog posts, watched You Tube videos and articles. I’ve never found a good resource that gave a complete picture of design, materials, and methods. That’s what I’ve put together for you here. Also, I truly believe that when people pay, they pay attention. So, investing in a course to learn from me will give you the incentive you need to prove to yourself (and maybe to your spouse - LOL) that the investment was worth it! And I promise you, it’s worth it!

What if I purchase the course and am not able to complete the project now? +

This is a real concern, I understand. I’m giving you the tools and methods you will need to complete this project when you’re ready. That may be now and it may be later this year. Even if you’re not prepared to undertake this project now, you can still learn the methods and implement when you’re ready.

Do you offer refunds? +

We are not offering refunds for the course at this time.

How long should this project take? +

This course will be delivered over the course of about 3 weeks. This will allow you to have the support you need over the length of your entire project. You should be able to complete your cabinet painting project within that span of time!

What type of space do I need to complete this project? +

My approach to cabinet painting involved spraying the cabinet faces. Ideally, you want to have either an unfinished basement, barn, shed or a garage where you can spray. If you don’t have any of these available to you, you could block off a room in your home with plastic and use that as a spray booth. I DO NOT recommend spraying cabinets outside. The dust, pollen, bugs, etc. out there will destroy your paint finish!

Will I be able to use my kitchen during this process? +

YES! My method for cabinet painting involves spraying the faces but brushing and rolling the boxes. So, while there’s a lot of prep work in the kitchen that needs to be done (including sanding which equals some dust) you do NOT need to empty out your cabinets or drawers (unless your drawer fronts don’t come off which is a definite possibility). 100% of my clients continue to use their kitchens to some degree during this project.

How will I know the best color for my cabinets? +

If you sign up with the Early Bird Pricing option, you’ll get several bonuses including a selection of my favorite cabinet colors. These are ones that I’ve used again and again in multiple projects and LOVE. If you sign up for the VIP option, we will go deeper to do one on one consultations to evaluate your home and your finishes and I’ll personally help you to pick the color that will work best!

Does paint chip? +

This is one of the most commonly asked questions I get from clients. The answer is longer than just Yes or No, because of course paint chips. A cabinet made out of ANY material will get damaged. Wood is susceptible to water damage, scratching, dents, etc. Laminate can peel, scratch, or bubble over time. I see it ALL THE TIME. The trouble is, those materials typically can’t be repaired easily. With wood, you can usually find a stain pen to touch up cabinets but it’s never a 100% match. When you paint your cabinets, you will know the color and have touch up paint on hand. The key to this process is doing it right the first time so that the finish stands up to wear and tear. The materials I will teach you to use result in a hard, durable surface that stands up to every day use with kids, pets, and regular cleaning. However, if your kid inflicts some blunt force trauma with a giant fire truck toy, yeah, you might get a scratch. That would be true of any material though. I’ll make sure you know how to touch up any damage.

I reached out to Casey when trying to get our home ready to sell, knowing we needed to update and refresh. The transformation is awesome. Casey painted the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and helped pick the perfect color schemes in each of those rooms. I feel really confident putting the house on the market now. Great experience overall!

 So, there you have it.

Listen, I know this is an investment. I KNOW there are posts and claims that you can paint your cabinets for $250. And I realize that those claims can make a course/method like this seem expensive. I’ll be the first one to admit that you could totally go grab some paint and hand apply it to your cabinets. And maybe it would look okay for a year or so.

But my belief is that painted cabinets don’t need to be a stop gap until you get your REAL kitchen reno. They can, and should, be a high quality, thoughtfully approached, design-centric part of your home that stand the test of time. And let’s remember how much it would cost to replace your cabinets!

If you want to learn a tested, client approved, professional method for painting cabinets in a format that is fun, supportive, and 100% all-inclusive, then my Cabinet Painting Crash Course is for you.

I sincerely hope that you decide to participate.
And PLEASE let me know if you have any questions, concerns or feedback. I’m happy to chat with you 😊
